Hombrew coder QBRADQ has release the first version of PSPEText, a simple text reader for the PSP. This handy homebrew plugin allows you to pause a game at any time and read text files stored in your PSP. Developer's note: PSPEText is a kernel-mode plugin that allows you to pause any PSP game at any time and read text files stored on the memory stick. This is useful for reading FAQs from sites like www.gamefaqs.com while playing your favorite PSP games. This text reader supports both a 60-column display and an 80-column display, which can be switched between at runtime. The 80-column display is a little less readable, but a must-have for reading FAQ files. Download: PSPEText v1.0 More PSP homebrews: |

» Why can't I open the PSP folder?
It seems like I can load text files in-game from any folder except the PSP folder, why is this? When I try to enter the PSP folder it doesn't let me.

I tend to stay away from in-game plugins. VSH.txt plugins are ok, I guess. But GAME.txt plugins could mess with the framrate (ie. "music.prx")
Something like this would probably be useful for walkthroughs. Oh, I see you mentioned FAQs. Sure. Those too.
I wonder if it bookmarks the text files to where you were reading last time you played that game... Probably not since it's v1.0.
