PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1

In a week filled with industry news, we ended up with a rather sparse recap of the big PSP-specific news that graced the QJ.NET PSP blog. The PSP Go -- or rather, the retailers who are feeling a bit miffed and concerned by Sony's decision to go download-only for the Go -- was there to pick up the slack.

Come to think of it, maybe that's part of the reason why the Go's price tag is so high: to give retailers some incentive since they won't be able to sell games for it. Huh.

Game-wise, we got a couple more updates as Capcom gears up for this week's Monster Hunter Freedom Unite release as well as more import news and some pre-order goodies for Dissidia, as if fans didn't have enough reason to buy it.

The Hardware:

The Games:

  • Atlus details Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament for PSP. Link
  • Sony making L/R button controlled games for PSP Go? Link
  • Shonen Jump reveals first screens for Bleach: Soul Carnival 2. Link
  • Pangya: Fantasy Golf now gold, all set for next week's launch. Link

  • GameStop and Amazon offering Dissidia goods. Link
  • Monster Hunter Freedom Unite:

And that's it for this week folks! Look forward to another edition of the PSP Weekend Warrior next week.
