Ó

PSP Player is a PSP Emulator for PCs, developed by noxa during spare time. It's still in development, but if the screenshots in the developer's site are any indication, it's making good progress. So far, the emulator supposedly supports the commercial game Puzzle Bobble Pocket, and the homebrew games PSPTRis and Trigonometry Wars.

What's the latest on the emulator? Well, according to the screenshots section of the developer's page the Emulator's managed to run the Tales of Eternia menu. The scene animates in and all that, but when you hit start it crashes. Take a gander below:

I wonder what FPS the emulator has on the dev's system...

Using the psp wifi controller to eventually use this emulator. That will be a Piece de Restance. Kinda like Dark_Alex did with busting firmware. Him, Booster, Fanjita and all the rest. Keep it going, keep this idea/hobby going for as long as anyone can.

Bravo and Cheers!!

 » Uh...

You do realize how purpose-defeating it would be to use an actual PSP as a controller for a PSP emulator.

A pc psp emu would be really convenient for all the homebrew devs that are working on stuff for the psp

If it goes far enough, this thing can be set up to decrypt future firmwares...

I hope development for this continues till it goes GOLD.
I fully functional at full speed and support would be
most awesome. Keep up the great work.

» So is QJ finally admiting it?

So now they openly support piracy?

 » Nah, not really

Not really openly, 'cause they can still hide in the loophole of doing a UMD backup of your own legally purchased game(or something like that). The heads behind QJ are supposedly doing piracy, but i don't think they support it. (Think of the lawsuits!)But to play PSP games fullscreen on TV (PCTV connection) would kick ass.
Please apologise for my english, i'm swedish.

   Re: GW2 (Unregistered) - 2007-05-13
 » your both wrong

emulators arent illegal and can be used to load homebrew. and making backups of your own umd's is illegal seeing as it is not an open format.

   Re: GaveUpTomorrow - 2007-05-13
» Emulators are NOT for piracy...

the sad fact is that many people use them the wrong way. The right way to use them is that people would dump their own ISOs, use homebrew, dump their own homebrew/firmware.. etc to play their games. In all honestly, if you hate emulators so much, you must absolutely HATE CD/DVD burners..because in the right hands those are used to make personal backups...but how many people use those for illegal means... There is really no difference between the two, and it is up the user to make the right/legal decision.

I never quite got QJ's piracy...stance.

'We don't support USBHOSTFS because it's mainly used for piracy. OH LOOK NEW RELEASES OF OE AND DEVHOOK LOL POST THAT'

 » Awesome,

i wanna play isos on my computer

   Re: Tokimemofan (Unregistered) - 2007-05-13
 » Roms isos emulators

Emulators are legal roms and isos aren't. the bios is usually a type of rom so you need to get a dump of that. Why do people seem to flame each others over this!!!!!!
