Ruckus1.0 beta1

Captain Dan has just released released the first beta version of his homebrew MP3 player for the PSP, Ruckus. It looks promising as it provides most of the functionalities of a professional CD player, which includes cueing tracks with 1/60 second precision, as well as tempo adjustment options, and pitch blend. However, because this is a beta release, the creator recommends this application only for casual use. Well, for the moment at least, as the current features of this application hints at more comprehensive things such as the tempo adjustment operating "identically to the pitch selector on a professional turntable". Perhaps we'll soon be able to mix tracks on our PSPs? We'll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, Captain Dan has also put together user's guide, complete with pictures, on his website for everyone who wants to give this application a spin. Ruckus can be used with PSP Firmware v1.5.

 » Playlists?

Does this app support playlists? I'm tired of seeing more and more mp3 players that don't support m3u files.

» This is a really cool mp3 player

The only thing that bothers me is that if go into a folder with songs from an album, they are all sorted differently. Anyone know how to fix this? To I have to rename them or something? Otherwise, this is awesome.

 » Great App!

I've been waiting for someone to release something like this! I'd be nice if there was a shortcut key to zero out the pitch control.
