Ó

The PSP Hacking 101 team is back once again with another episode of their handy-dandy netcast. Unlike episode 22, which talked about the awesomeness that was the 3.03 downgrader, they're now talking about something near and dear to our hearts: PSX games.

They're going to teach you about getting PSX games to run on the PSP using PopStation. Specifically, Pox and Ragable are using AutoPopStation v4. With this handy-dandy tutorial, you'll be playing FFVII with the best of them.

Note, however, that during the taping of this, 3.10 came out. If you've been reading up on it, 3.10 has increased support for PAL games, which means you won't need to use conversion software so much. That being said, enjoy the video.

Oh, and Ragable kills Mitrovarr in this episode.

DARN IT, I told them you can open that program by running AutoPopstation4 with nothing in it.

Ah well, this works just as well.

GAH! Ok, three things you guys left out when you did the video: 1. You can access the make new cd by either putting n for the cd iso, or running my program with no ISO or EBOOT in the folder. 2. I made my program with those icons because there was no way to generate a custom name based on what you like. IF YOU WANT CUSTOM, just drop your custom images, properly named and sized, in the same folder as AutoPopstation4, it will see them and use them.
3. To make multidisk games work easily 80% of the time, use the code for disk one for all other disks in the series. That lets them see the game save from before (If it lets you save between disks). Ah well, no real harm done I guess.

Don't need to, 3.10 OEA fixed that. Use AutoPopstation4 as normal.

When I watched it, Ragable almost looked proper bludgeoning Mitrovarr. Like, I would totally buy him playing a bad guy in a movie. Good acting. ;)

 » Wipeout 2097

Has anyone managed to get Wipeout 2097 PAL to work on the PSX emulator? I've tried it with and with out converting to NTSC on all versions of PSP firmware since 3.0. I was really hoping that 3.10 would be the one since it's been mentioned that better PAL compat. is now in place -- It loads up okay but upon getting to the intro movie if I press X or start to skip the movie the game freezes [not the PSP mind you], if I let the movie play through the same happens once the movie has finished [ie. it could be a problem initiating the 3D engine?]. Any ideas? I also wanted to try Wip3out but a mate is borrowing it, anyone got comfirmation that that'll work. I'm sure many will agree these two games are essentials to the emulation list :)

Cheers in advance to any tipsters

» DONT LISTEN TO THIS LAME VIDEO

THese guys are idiots. They are telling you to convert PSX games the LONG way. With GUIBeta, you can convert it in about 5 seconds. >_> It's called "PsGUI221beta". You should download that instead of listening to this video. It's SO much easier.

Here is a great game that you can play.
Watch the vid again and punch yourself in the face every time he says "go ahead". You'll be lucky to make it to the end of the vid.
