Heads up to all PlayStation 3 owners! Sony has just revealed some more details about the upcoming PS3 firmware update version 3.10 which is scheduled to arrive "soon". The latest update will incorporate Facebook functionality into the console. According to PlayStation Network director of operations, Eric Lempel:
The latest update incorporates Facebook into the PS3 experience. By linking your PlayStation Network account to your Facebook account, you will have the option for the PS3 to automatically update your Facebook News Feed with Trophy and PlayStation Store activity. This update also enables developers to set specific criteria in their titles to publish additional game information to your News Feed. You can then check out your updates, and those of your friends, on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media favorites through the PS3’s built-in web browser. But wait, there's more! According to Lempel, this is just the beginning of Facebook integration into the PS3. You can look forward for new features in the future updates. Other highlights in the update includes:

I myself have almost 3,000 trophies and I would like to show off the new ones I get to my friends on facebook. Every update only improves the PS3. Cross Game Chat is in the works but it just takes too much time to get it right. MS had like 3 years to work on it when Xbox 1 came out.
The amount of coding involved to get it to work on the PS3 XMB is not easy and simple. Is very complex and challenging. I do believe Eric Lempel stated this many times already and people still don't understand. *sigh*
Guess i'm the only one who loves this update. :(

I can see where a lot of people are coming from, personally i wouldnt care if any of my friends, girlfriend, wife, etc got a trophy or bought a game... Im sure many others could care less... one of the downsides to trophies for instances *same for achievements* they dont also show how hard a trophy is to obtain...

That's all I can remember making a fuzz ,because Forza 3 was a failure (being compared to other game sale figures) and nothing else really, more avatar crap? More ads? Come on now man, here I'll make you a quick simple list that if you haven't done you need to.
Start off with RFOM, then try out the sequel.
Next try out Uncharted along with the sequel as well.
All the Ratchet and Clank games.
Killzone2, and if you don't like FPS, then go with something like Infamous, or LBP ...
and "free", is always better than paying for online. See what I did? In case you missed it I used your technique of taking an OPINION (better) and stating it as a fact (it is better THAN live). Now, another thing that you mention is that you WANT to "PAY" for online? wow, that's an ass backwards way to start now after all this time you've had PSN..I mean I started on LIVE and paid for service for about 1 1/2 years, then for personal reasons I had to get another console, so it was either the Wii or PS3... got the ps3 and haven't looked back ever since..
