Orcs and Elves announcements at QuakeCon 2007

Orcs and Elves Electronic Arts, which once formerly went out only for mobile phones, has been announced for the Nintendo DS. Along with that announcement, Orcs and Elves 2 was also announced for cell phones. A demo was exhibited and here's what happened:



Similar to the first game, you play the role of a half ling who sets on a quest to save her Dwarven land. Using an action-RPG mechanic from the Doom engine, you beat on enemies with a sword and a magic wand which talks and guides you on your quest.

Additional gear and items can be purchased from a friendly dragon who serves as the game's vendor. Release dates for Orcs and Elves for the DS and Orcs and Elves 2 for mobile phones are still under wraps, so we'll just have to inform you when new details are forthcoming.
