Krups XN2005Up for a challenge? Then you might want to replicate what the guys at o2m8 have achieved - they successfully built an internet-enabled coffee machine.

Tinkering with their eBay-bought BIATCH ( stands for Build, Integration and Test Coffee Hardware), a Krups XN2005, the o2m8 team connected the machine to WebBrick 6.1, which is "a configurable monitoring and control unit with a web server and a flexible process control engine".

This enabled them to have the Krups work via a press of the web button. The advantage? The o2m8 team writes, "By preloading the cartridge before you go to bed, its a simple matter to organise your coffee in the morning either from your bedside or as a morning wake-up call!"

Ready to make your own Internet-enabled coffee machine? Click here and see how. Good luck!
