If you've been playing World of Warcraft for some time now and want to share all the knowledge you've gained with other players, this is the chance you've been waiting for. The official WoW community site has announced its intention to link to web servers which are hosting good and professional looking guides for any of the professions in the game.
A few good examples of guides that have been added to the list include: TenTonHammer's Skinning Guide and EI's Extreme Anglin' Fishing Guide. If you're interested in taking advantage of this offer, be sure to go over this short list of requirements you have to fulfill first for your guide to be linked back to:
- Guide must be focused entirely on at least one of the twelve professions of World of Warcraft
- Blizzard does not host guides; they must be hosted on your own web server
- Site must be capable of getting traffic from our web site (estimated 1,000-20,000 hits a day)
- Guides must contain quality information
- Must not contain offensive content or link to offensive content
- We will link to good guides posted in the World of Warcraft forums
- Advertising links on your site must not link to sites that violate the World of Warcraft Terms of Use Agreement
After completing all the requirements, e-mail the link to your guide to "wowguide@Blizzard.com" to see if it makes the cut. Hopefully, a lot of people will contribute their guides which will help to further the development of the WoW community.
