This. Is. Homebrew. Yeah, huh. Don't believe us? Check the readme. Demo as it just might be, we're impressed. Very impressed. So much so that this writer. Can't. Write. In complete sentences. No Gravity, a 3D arcade-style space shooter, is developed by RealTechVR.

You'll be controlling a ship that goes through various missions, each with its own objective to accomplish: shoot-and-destroy missions, mine field clearing missions, ship escort missions... The only sad thing about it is that we're just getting the demo for now. The full version is to be released in the future, so that's worth looking forward to.

The demo, which has five missions, can be download below. The game runs on FW 1.5 or 1.5 backward-compatible firmwares. Check the readme for the full installation instructions, notes, control configurations, and credits.

What I have to say is, it's about time someone made such a game.

Of course, everyone will say I could have made it myself. And I would have! If I had just gotten that stupid cygwin to work! LOL!

Awesome game! Probably the best non-emulator non-port game for the PSP. Can't wait.

Sorry if you took my last comment as being against your creating this game.

Went to the website. It actually is a port, and the original was made by the same author. Nevertheless, very good.

Looks like it's fighting in hyper space with all the stars or what ever they are wizzing about like they are, yet it's not doing a hyper jump. So whats with all the white stuff zipping by? Looks like some great hombrew gamage though, just can't seem to wrap my head around the wizzing fuzzy junk.

My sentiments exactly. And this homebrew game looks truly amazing. Good job to the creators.

Someone should make a compiler for the PSP that does not require cygwin or Linux. Then, I'll bet you $50 that I will make at least 5 games and applications for the PSP.

By the way, I will try the game demo today, due to the fact that I'm not busy.
Unfortunately, simply creating compilers is very difficult, so this will not happen any time soon. However, this inspired me to start programming for the PSP. I'll probably get a VM with Linux and do the development in there.

Re: He could send this to sony (Unregistered) - 2007-03-11
» They could make it into a demo

Maybe the creator could send thisawesome game to sony and if he's lucky they could allow it to be a downloadable demo like loco roco and a few other games . A good idea for the homebrew community and sony would be for sony to allow certain homebrew games but first sony must make sure the homebrew is legal and then if it is as creative and as good as this game they will make it into a downloadable demo

WOW that is amazing to say the least....
if i didnt know any better i would say that someone broke down starfox and ported it to psp and added in new gfx

well whatever the case is keep it up.

   Re: westcoastphilly (Unregistered) - 2007-03-08
 » starfox??

um. no. starfox was laid out in a tunnel-like structure. you can't turn around, only go from A to B with slight variation of where you are in the tunnel.. this looked to be a full 3d environment that you have free movement in. downloading now...
