Ó

It's been a couple of months since we last heard news about Magna Carta for the PSP. Now, Famitsu announces the implementation of a new game system that will be available for the PSP game of Magna Carta!

As mentioned before, the portable game will follow the story of the PS2 version of Magna Carta. So, with regards to the story line, there definitely isn't anything new to see. What will definitely be different is the battle system between the two games. It seems that for the PSP, the elemental system that they implemented will be taken out. They have taken this out to simplify the game as they didn't wish things to be a little stressful to the players. The game developers wanted to keep things smooth, especially when locking in combos in the game. Without the elemental system, you can keep up with your attacks and your gameplay is smoother.

We have also mentioned how the game will have a gallery mode. The gallery mode contains character and area sketches that you will encounter in the game. The content of your gallery will expand as you meet more people and explore the world. The game will be sold in Japan on May 25.

 » Genre

I never got to play the original Magna Carta. Could anyone tell me what genre it is? RPG? Strategy? And what game's battle system is it similar to?

The Magna Carta was a treaty signed by King John and the nobles of England, giving the people more power, and other things, such as trials, and some stuff that has to do with the king and pope. What does this game have to do with that?

 » But the voice acting...

I've played it for a while on PS2. The voice acting is unbelievable horrible, beyond imagination... I dare you to play it for more than 1h.

@ mg : Hey man it's jsut a name, people use names for their games taht sound cool and not necessarily because it is related to the real life history fact, although ingame the Magna Carta is something else

The game is good, although linear (like FFX), and the dialogues in the fmvs sound like a bunch of 10 year old talking to each other (naivity and expression), so better skip them ^-^
