Sony VGP-BMS80 - Image 1Sony's released a new Bluetooth mouse that's also compatible for use with your PlayStation 3 unit. The VGP-BMS80 is a multi-function laser mouse that works on the new Vaio X, CW and L range of Laptops.

Functions are:
  • Dual function of PC remote control and multi-function laser mouse
  • Remotely control PLAYSTATION® 3 to enjoy web browsing (No game control available)
  • Software keyboard to input words easily
The mouse also has an OFS (Optical Finger Sensor), which allows you to control the PS3's XMB, even without using your controller. That's efficiency for you right there. You can get it too for just under a hundred bucks, so that's a pretty good deal there given that it's multi-functional anyways.

» how is this ps3 news?

1. ALL bluetooth mice are compatible with the ps3 (and with any computer that has bluetooth, not just a few specific models of laptop by the same manufacturer).
2. A $100 mouse is not "a pretty good deal," regardless of whether its "multifunctional."
3. If you're going to write for a product-based website, you really should know at least some basic stuff about the product.

You miserable little *****.

Not ALL Bluetooth mice can scroll through the XMB or navigate the browser.

As that function is the mouse in question/PS3 specific, of course it's PS3 news.

And QJ doesn't need to regurgitate the product info. They always supply an external link. What's the point in re-inventing the wheel?

What a d!ck.

He's not saying that at all! And yes, ANY bluetooth mice are working... Same for USB mice, and even those with a USB wireless stick to plug in the PS3, they all work (at least the 8 I tryed) without problems. Same for keyboards by the way. Also, almost 100$ for a mice isn't "cheap", it's WAY OVER the price! I'm working in futureshop (same as bestbuy in canada, but with commission) and the mice that cost 79$ can cost me 23$ or even 12$ depending on the brand (M$ vs logitech).

Also, stop spamming "xbot fanboy", YOU are the fanboy houaruto, a sony fanboy is not better than an xbox fanboy!!! You are all the same, what he was saying is true. Still, it's still a news they can post for my personnal taste.

... What's the middle age of people here, 13 years old? My god.. I'm 24 and sometimes like others on the forums/blogs it gets tiresome...
