DirectXNVIDIA and AMD will introduce the World’s first DirectX 10 enabled graphics processing unit (GPU) at the upcoming at Game Connection Europe in Lyon, France. For those of us who don't speak the language, it's a state-of-the-art graphics technology that will make members of the game development community drool.

At least thats what Darryl Still, NVIDIA's Director of Content Management for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, says.

Great content drives the graphics industry – that's why our relationships with developers are so important to our business. On November 8 2006 NVIDIA launched what is currently the only DirectX 10 capable GPU on the market, the NVIDIA GeForce 8800, and gamers are already hungry for content that makes the most of its capabilities.

If that isn't drool-worthy, we don't know what is.

Game Connection Europe is a forum where game developers and technology users can network, do business and learn about the latest technologies. This year's event in Lyon will highlight the new game graphics possibilities, Microsoft Windows Vista, and DirectX 10.

It will be held on December 5 to 7 with over 140 companies from 27 countries are expected to attend.
