Robert Garriott, former NCsoft North America CEO - Image 1MMORPG giant NCsoft recently announced that Robert Garriott is leaving his post as president of the company's North American arm. The older brother of Lord British (a.k.a. Richard Garriott) will take a role in NCsoft's global business development and planning, while vice president of worldwide product development Chris Chung will be taking his post.

The video game company behind popular online titles such as Lineage, Guild Wars, and Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa expects Garriott's leadership to take NCsoft further in the global business. Garriott is an entrepreneur who has proven himself since he entered the industry by co-founding game developer Origin Systems with Richard Garriott back in 1983.

"We're extremely pleased with Robert's plans to become more involved with our global business development," said NCsoft CEO Taek Jin Kim. North America will still be in good hands, since the head honcho stated that Chris Chung is a strong leader who'll be "a perfect fit for the North American publishing business."
