Ó

What would you expect if you dropped your laptop from lets say, a height of 2 meters? Easy question - I'd expect it to be in quite a few more pieces than it was beforehand. Maybe not in the future.Lenovo, the Chinese company that recently bought out IBM's Thinkpad are currently developing the next stage of laptop, the type of laptop you could be using in 5-10 years time.

You may remember seeing the Lenovo videos with the laptop having coffee poured on it, and the holographic projection coming from the laptop. Now i have one more Lenovo video for your speculation: The hovering anti-gravity Lenovo laptop. The video first shows what would happen to an ordinary laptop, being dropped from pretty high. It then shows the Lenovo laptop, codenamed "Kent" being dropped from the same height. This laptop detects if it is falling, and just before it hits the floor, turns on 4 (What i can only describe as) engines. These 'engines' allow the laptop to hover, and they slowly descend the laptop, making it touchdown on the floor gently. This one really knocked my socks off! The video makes me think of a laptop version of the Matrix - video trickery, or the next generation of laptop?
