He did not say "No." Let's be clear on that one. In an interview with Nintendo Power, Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo was asked whether or not a new Kid Icarus game will be coming to the Wii or the DS. His answer:

Wait, please. I'm really surprised how popular that is. But you are the first person to ask at this E3!

Well am surprised that he's surprised at all that people's clamoring for Kid Icarus. Rumors have been coming out since last year, and they've been rather both persistent and creative. But I'll take his answer as the cue to just shut up in the meantime and patiently wait, as he asked.

After all, he did not say "No."
