Mirror's Edge - Image 1Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions CE's Mirror's Edge is a first person action game that aims to remove artificial barriers and give players a sense of unparalleled freedom.

While we're not sure how the developers plan on pulling this off, the screenshots of the game show that this title might be something to watch out for.

In Mirror's Edge, players are placed in the shoes of a courier who has to deliver confidential information to different organizations. Why? Because the current authoritarian government in the game has tabs on every electronic means of data transfer. Snail mail has become the only means of making sure that no one except the intended recipient gets hold of sensitive information.

So far no release date has been revealed for this game. While we wait for more details check out the screenshots of this game and see if it's for you.

this looks like an extremely promising game. this city looks pretty believable, i just hope there arent those cranes everywhere. it would really take away from the realism.

i bet if you got a screenshot at the right angle, it would look 100% real.

i also like the falling effect, and the detail on the character you play.

...reminds me a lot of Breakdown, especially the immersible perspective. I really like what I see. At least they're breaking away from the Battlefield cash cow!

Yes, that's pretty much the character concept. Still, I don't know how many mailmen out there have a killer roundhouse kick like the character in this game.
