Lost Odyssey box - Image 1Microsoft just announced that February 12, 2008 marks the release of Mistwalker's Xbox 360 exclusive Lost Odyssey in North America. Developed by FeelPlus and the company headed by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, the role-playing game already saw its release in Japan and sold 40,000 copies (around half of total copies shipped) during launch day.

Those who pre-order Lost Odyssey will have access to a bonus mission and an unlockable weapon via Xbox Live. Eager gamers are going to receive a download code that allows them to avail of the said content before the goodies are offered to everyone else in spring.

The game spans four DVDs, topping Mistwalker's previous title Blue Dragon which came in three discs. RPG fans would be delighted to know that developer FeelPlus behind Lost Odyssey is made up of former Nautilus employees, known for the cult hit Shadow Hearts and its sequels.
