 Here's something for all of you gadget freaks out there. We now report leaked details for Microsoft's Zune 2.0 and Flash Zune (also known as the "little Zune") thanks to an enterprising Zune Scene editor.
So far, no huge news in the leaked details (nothing about the rumored Zune Phone so far), but it does give out a possible release date for these babies. Here's the pertinent info:
- Zune 2.0 and the Flash Zune will be out this year.
- Zune 2.0 is like Gen 1 but thinner.
- Larger HDD, same doubleshot finish.
- Flash Zune is 3 by 1 1/4 by 1/4.
- Flash Zune is video capable
- Flash Zune's Screen covers 75% of the front
- Flash Zune will have WiFi
- Flash Zune will have doubleshot
- Design phase is over, but some tweaks to hardware will occur.
- 2.4 million next gen Zunes will be made before 2007's holiday season, and that 2/3 of em are the Flash Zune players.
Remember guys, these are all unconfirmed. Those "tweaks to hardware" sound pretty interesting, though, and hopefully the Wi-Fi in the Flash Zune will perform better than the ones in the Gen 1 Zunes. We'll be sure to bring you more details as soon as they surface - or as soon as another enterprising person gets their hands on them, at least.
