Logo of Warner Bros Home Entertainment - Image 1After SCi recently initiated an open offer deal to raise additional funds for the company, it looks like someone has taken the bait. Warner Bros Home Entertainment recently subscribed up to £15 million (US$ 30 million) worth of new shares in the company and announced a new strategic partnership with the house behind the Tomb Raider series.

Warner Bros will now handle the distribution of SCi titles in North America, Canada, and Mexico. SCi CEO Phil Rogers was ecstatic with the new partnership and committed Warner Bros into becoming a major presence in the video game industry.

SCi's initial plan involved raising £60 million (US$ 120 million) through a fully underwritten placing and open offer, which will give the company new financing to deliver high-quality games with focus on cornerstone studios core franchises.

As an added note, SCi was happy to announce that progress for Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PC) was going smoothly with a worldwide release scheduled before Christmas. Hopefully, this new conglomeration will spell even more noteworthy games for the company's popular franchises like Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Deus Ex.
