Riding on the success of its Lego Star Wars series, the developers from Traveller's Tales is gearing up to deliver its next set of Lego-themed video games. And who next to turn into a blocky action game than the veritable Dark Knight himself, Batman.

If you still can't believe it, you can take a look at the short teaser trailer we have of Lego Batman the Videogame through the via link below. Seeing as how expansive the Batman franchise already is, it was only time before we saw a Lego version of one of DC's most popular superheroes.

It was previously announced that the game will include villains from the Batman series, such as Nighthawk and Man-Bat. While neither make an appearance in the video, Batman's blocky rendition in Lego Gotham still looked faithful to his more realistic depictions.

Along with Batman, Traveller's Tales will also be releasing a Lego version of Indiana Jones around the same time. Gamers still have to wait a little while for the Dark Knight to hit shelves as it will still be released sometime next on the PC, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, DS.
