Konami Europe has announced that Hideo Kojima will visit this year's Leipzig Games Convention, and will show an all-new Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots trailer and a playable demo of the video game during the game's presentation. The presentation will be held in Hall 4, Stand 11 in the Leipzig Games Convention venue (the event will run from August 22 to 26).

This will be the first time for Konami Digital Entertainment to show a playable demo of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in Europe. Kojima will also reveal some gameplay secrets and explain important details related to the video game, in addition to making important announcements regarding future Metal Gear Solid projects (does this mean there's still life after the Solid franchise?) as well as Kojima Productions.

Aside from showing a completely new trailer and playable version of the video game, Hideo Kojima promises to bring along a very special guest, whose identity is kept secret for the meantime. Hmm...

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be released simultaneously worldwide in the beginning of 2008. Set in the near future, gamers will step into the shoes of Old Snake as he takes part in a controlled military conflict, where private armies and mercenaries fight for domination. The video game will take place in various locales such as the Middle East and South America.
