Ó

Back in January, we heard of an interview with Jade Raymond and Hideo Kojima. And yeah, we thought something was going on back then. At that time, we may have mused about a possible MGS fusion with Assassin's Creed, but now, well, Kojima and Raymond might be getting the last laugh.

A gameplay video was uploaded online, apparently, "for rampant Internet consumption." And right off the bat, you'd automatically assume that the video doesn't take itself too seriously - something that's painfully obvious it's an April Fools' gag. The video shows what Jade Raymond introduces as "a brand new chapter in the Assassin's Creed series."

In the video, we're treated to gameplay footage with Altair stalking around a war zone. If you've seen a couple of Metal Gear Solid 4 videos, you might find the setting familiar. It's the same one in which Solid Snake was running around in the level that was demoed at E for All. Only, instead of Solid Snake, here, we have Altair... or is it?

Fun as the little fusion project might be, we can't help but think of its implications. Is this really an April Fools' gag that's just meant to amuse and entertain? As introduced by QJ.NET tipster Tony D in an email, there might be more than meets the eye in this video: "...Actual NEW MGS4 gameplay shown, new area possibly revealed at end of trailer. Possible Altair costume unlockable." Interesting... Hmm...

Of course, we're just notching this up as an off-topic humor post, but if you guys have any other thoughts on the matter, by all means, you know what to do!

Hey, Tony D, thanks for the tip!

You guys posted the same video two times in this article. Please remove one. Anyways, it's cool how Hideo Kojima and Jade Raymond teamed up and created this costume for Snake.

Jade...that's all I saw. Was there something else in this video?

 » the end

At the end Kojima appears and says "did you like it?"

Anyways, it would be pretty cool to have an Altair costume, and hurray for new gameplay footage finally.

The only thing that made this video retarded was the actually assassins creed outfit lol. But I like how they showed gameplay of snake actually fighting the gekko's (looks crazy). Can't wait till this game comes out.

And for assassin's 2, they really better pull out a way better game then the first one or I won't buy it.

I really hope we'll see the costume as an unlockable, and I'm pretty sure we will, lol. In MGS games, there is always at least one costume, I hope that in MGS4, we'll have altair! :D And since it's konami, they SHOULD add Alucard with his shield and sword, that would be awesome (and really hard, we would have to sneak kill everybody or run in the cover of our weak (against bullets) shield).

 » I've always called...

Assassin's creed...Grand Theft Jerusalem. So, the only appropriate name for this clip would be Metal Gear Jerusalem.
