jetpackJet packs used to be a sci-fi way to fly but it could soon be the only way (or at least the funnest) to travel. Skywalker, a company that wants to bring true jet packs to the world, is almost there. The Skywalker Jet Pack, 90lbs (40.91 kg) and about size of of an average back pack, can fly for about six minutes with the basic configuration.

The company says production model jet pack can go for up to ten minutes with a 4 mile (6.5 KM) range. Powered by several types of fuel, it  is capable of lifting a pilot weighing around 210 lbs (95.45 kg) for five minutes. A reserve of fuel will give about one minute of additional flight time. Some day all paper routes will be done on jet packs. Now that's what we call progress!
