The
United States is planning to land on the moon again, this time to build
a base which will serve as quarters for astronauts preparing for their
journey to Mars.
Bush had it planned to have the moon base up
and running by 2020, but since NASA have their eyes set on designing a
new spaceship and they're spending a huge amount of money for the
international space station, the moon base will have to wait. This, and
other reasons such as having to face dangers in living in space, the
way machineries will perform when they're on the moon, and other
unforeseen variables are stopping NASA from continuing the lunar
mission program.
But NASA is not shelving the idea of another
lunar mission. They're still waiting for the technology to be able to
allow them to travel easily, build the moon base, and allow a human
colony to exist on the moon.
