WoWWiki definitely has one important note to add about the fine profession known as enchanting. "Unlike other professions," their description says, "enchanting requires salesmanship." By salesmanship, they mean a businesslike demeanor in which enchanting transactions can be done quickly and with minimum fussing between the enchanter and the enchant requester.

To that end, we've done a little bit of guide hunting and found this new gem on Blizzard's European WoW forums. Valalerin of Scarshield Legion has created a comprehensive guide to enchanting salesmanship, encouraging other people to read up and learn the basics of doing business with enchanters from both ends of the business transaction.

Valalerin's guide includes notes on avoiding scamming and additional information on why enchanters add service fees to their enchants. Spread the word about enchanting salesmanship, and remember this one little trick that makes the whole enchanting process go so much quicker: KNOW what you want before asking an enchanter for an enhancement.
