Can't wait for that beauty!
this game is going to OWNNNN
lol
PGR4 will never be better than this....
WOOT to polyphony - the masters of racing simulation games
Nothing really impresses me since playing Forza 2. What more does this game offer again? I heard you will have to wait and pay extra to download crash damage. Not very next gen....
PGR4 will one up Forza 2, which is already ahead of this unreleased game not due out for another year.
You can still be optimistic if you want, but I'll be looking ahead to the future of racing games. PGR4!
You don't have to pay and at least the crash damage will be done right.
Forza/PGR + Arcade
GT + Sim
Hands down GT will decimate all driving games as it has and will continue to.
will dominate. M$ can buy all the games they want but Sony's first party developers make better games. Killzone is shutting up a ton of ppl running there mouths about that game and its only in pre-alpha.
And at least this game will have more than 6 tracks like Forza. and what the hell is up with everything being so damn shiny in that game? MS is trying to hide the lack of polygonal detail by putting 10 layers of wax on the damn things
and this game runs at 1080p! something that Forza nor PGR4 can claim!
Plus in car view mode, real damage, support for 900 degree wheels like the logitech G25, hundreds of cars, at least 25 tracks, and a career mode that takes longer than a week to beat, plus free online play.
Now that the PS3 has dropped in price, maybe you can afford it now.
I have both Forza 2 and GTHD and Forza has nothing on the GT cars.
Who the F.U.C.K gave you permission to post here. Get your F.U,cking black ass out of here *****.
sexy infiniti GTR!!!! cmon Nissan....hurry and bring that car to the US! shiet!
games looks great.
This is looking so dawn sexy !!!!
Forza 2 can't even beat the GT HD demo LOL! Plus the fact that they are using Blu-ray which therefore enable us to have over 1000 cars and many tracks. Forza 2 or PGR4 can never and will never have that many cars and tracks!
Welcome to THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR!
They actually said they wanted over 600 cars, but it takes over a month to render each car. So yeah, you can expect significantly less. You will have to pay to download more cars, along with crash damage, which will not be included.
Also blu ray storage would have nothing to do with the amount of cars they could include in the game, since development and rendering time, along with liscensing costs is what determines how many cars will be included.
Look, you even got other idiots believing there will be over 1000 cars. Well if you're that gullible, no wonder you got a PS3.
You speak as if you know EXACTLY what will be in the game when you have absolutely no idea....you are down right idiotic.
it takes 180 days to make 1 car in GT5
They also have more than one developer >_>, but that probably isn't important I guess..?
You used to be very good at arguing for the 360. You had valid points and real data. Now I constantly see you using false data, data that was changed months ago, and straight up B. S.
So sad to think that you are a product of a species we call advanced.
are you an idiot! Storage space makes all the difference in the world for the amount of things in a game!
360 allows a max of 9gb of room to somehow fit the game's models, textures, video, audio, and tracks into it.
Why do you think there are soo few tracks in PGR and Forza. They sacrificed tracks for more cars. If you noticed in both of those, they create one huge track and have you racing different sections so it doesnt get repetitive.
And many times the have to sacrifice higher resolution textures to fit it. In PGR3, you can see a ton of low res textures on the road and cars. In Forza they put higher textures on the cars, but the tracks are low res.
They always have to sacrifice something. But with 50gb of space, you can fit 5 times the amount of data for textures and models!
I dont know if you have ever seen GTHD. But that demo was almost 1 gb itself. and it had only one track and 12 cars. So if they were limited to DVD, they would only be able to fit 5 tracks and about 60 cars!
mmmm sound familiar? Forza 2 seems to have just about that figure.
its a proven fact that more storage space means more content.
And while you are right that time and money is also a factor in the amount of content. I highly doubt Polyiphony has to worry about that.
I seen better graphics in racing games on the Xbox360.
damn you must need some glasses ... this is the best racing game for sure!
I agree with Sean go get your eyes checked.
This game will own forza 2 and pgr4 at the same time!!
Over 1000 cars... Amazing! I will get this game!
Now I'm happy I own a Playstation 3... and not a Xbot 360... lol
Ok, firstly, these are clearly RENDERS, since the pictures are FOUR TIMES 1080p resolution. Therefore, they're not representative of the in-game graphics, so however you look at it, you're all suckers if you believe its going to look like that.
Secondly, having Blu-Ray does not mean GT5 can have more cars than Forza, each car probably takes up less than 10mb so thats not an issue.
Thirdly, if im not mistaken the GT HD demo runs at 30fps, whereas Forza 2 runs at 60fps. Go figure which is better. Personally I prefer having smooth graphics than pretty graphics, helps me see where Im going. Which is, you know, the important issue.
Fourthly, PGR + arcade
Forza + GT + Less arcadey
If you really want a racing simulator then get Live For Speed on the PC. Play that for an hour and then tell me Gran Turismo is the best *simulator*.
Suck my tail pipe.
common sense mate, the eyes can only see at 22 fps, so they is no point having anything over 30fps d/ick head, thats just the fps. it doesnt add any greater detail to the picture, you knob shaft
Renders huh? have you ever seen GTHD on a 1080p tv?
Apparently not, because anyone who has knows for a fact that those are not renders.
The detail is really that high.
and I dont know what you talking about, but these pictures are being displayed at much lower resolution than 1080p. only the most high end computers can even render a image that high and fit it onto your computer screen.
Web pages typically dont host images abouve 1024x768 and these arent even that high
The resolution that they released these shots on was 1600x900 (and you can't get that high from this site)... I think that you need to research what 1080p is my friend.
Just to let the uninformed know, 1080 isn't the horizontal resolution it is the vertical resolution. While there may be some variation from one TV to another 1080P is most commonly considered to be 1920x1080.
They took out car damage because it's impossible to do it realistic like.
This is why Forza2 fails as having car damage. It sucks and pretty much the same on every car.
Realistic car damage would destroy gameplay because one crash and your out. People wouldn't finish races if they made one stupid mistake like in real life.
But the level of detail in the cars and tracks are second to none. Not even the screens of PGR4 some close to the realistic detail of GT5.
my friend you are wrong about the car damage.... it CAN be done realisticly.... the reason it isnt realistic in these types of games is the fact that car companies such as chevy mazda etc dont want their cars portrayed with car damage which came from the GT developer himself. He also stated unlike forza 2 if he wants car damage in his game he wants it done right so hes not going to throw in bs effects like forza 2 which i own and have to admit is pretty fun but looks like nothing compared to this.
If you really love jaggies.....those are just too much....especially with only one car on the screen...
I'm also loving how the windows don't reflect the environment at all and are just generic white "reflections"
Meh...
If you love looking at Jaggies.....even with one car on screen, that's horrible....
Also, I love how the windows don't reflect the environtment, but instead use a generic white "reflection" Awesome...
meh...
Windows in real-life don't always reflect the environment either - it depends on the viewing angle.
And what Jaggies? The only pic with Jaggies is the Nissan one... and it's not like stuff on the 360 doesn't have any.
Stop nit-picking.
Of course they have jaggies since your gay browser is downscaling them you pos!
And I dont see one image here were the windows are supposed to be reflecting something? all the cars are in a position were the windows are supposed to be reflecting the sky. so those reflections are correct. And you can see the tracks reflected on the sides of the cars just like its supposed to be.
and yes in line with the guy above. if you look at an image anything less than its true resolution, it will have jaggies.
and your web browser and the website itself downscales all images to make your internet faster. if they showed everything at their true resolutions, first off your webpages would be huge! and second it would take minutes to load with a high speed connection even.
next time know what your talking about, this happens with every screenshot of a game. Go to the 360 Qj site and youll see the same thing with any screen shots from there.
I'm looking at them full-sized.....side view of the white BMW is horribly aliased....just admit it...
Also i'm not sure what you are talking about...browsers do not automatically compress things for you, unless you have automatic image re-sizing on, but it still downloads the image you are given....
The resolution of these images are over 1080P, so they are actually a higher resolution then the final product will be. Also, they are just over 100K in size and my internet connection can download 10 of these pictures in one second....sorry, no website will take me a minute to load unless it has over 60 megs of data on it, which no website would if it's just pictures and text....
I said nothing about the bodies of the cars, I said the windows....and if the side of a car is reflecting the enviro then the side windo would too...but they don't....and image #4 the lead car has a tinted window, you should get a clear reflection of the sky/road ahead....but you don't....
if you actually played GTHD you would automatically realize that most of what you have said is wrong.
GTHD is by far the best racing simulator i've ever played, and i've played a lot of them.
get your lips of bill's ***** you *****got
this looks siiiiiiick
this game alone is going to give me months of ps3 'alonetime' muahaha skeet skeet!
theres a great 3 page article on the new car & driver magazine . the guys a polyphony are working day and night to get this thing out but the director is taking his time comparing himself to a painter by describing that "when its done its done". he says that sony told him they need that tittle to secure their foothold.awesome article, it shows the studios 80 terabyte servers , along witht the work stations of the employees.the creator is still very against damage. he said he never intended for the game to have such a mass apeal since he created it for enthusiast. he also said that its just too much work to model car damage.
he even confirms the download ability for new cars. i dont recall if he actually mentioned "buying" them . that would be the only downfall of the game . imagine getting only 400 cars and having to buy the rest.he said because of the pressure of sony the game will probably be released with a limited amount of cars.
I love how this game upsets all 360 owners, listen to them quibble!! Turismo is the best and always will be.
I have forza and love it for sure the online possibiliti is hudge but GT5 gonna be better in graphics than forza.. forza as a good graphic but dirt has better the forza and gt5 better then dirt ... all these 2 race game as is force...!!! for graphic is gt5 for online posibiliti is forza with the live for sure...!!!
To be honest i havent played forza 2 nor do i want to. to me just seeing GT HD is heaven. First of all the physics are just outstanding and you can finally do a proper powerslide with a rwd car. I have played forza and i own all the GTs. I liked forza better than Gt in certain areas. like being able to turn off ABS was good because when you slam the brakes you wheels lock up. You couldnt do that, but for all the ppl who have played Forza 2 you should try and play GT HD, i literally guarantee you the GT demo will be better than the whole game of FORZA2. So think about that. Ive seen Forza 2 and its capabilities, frankly its the same rubbish you get in the original Forza. you can drift with every single car.
KK not the exact same but the only that has been tweeked was the physics engine and graphics, and just brought up to date cars in Forza. But barely changed the physics even with damage. Im not a hater nor am i a fanboy, its just the truth. and come on no *****pit view? POS game. GTHD in truth wiill help sony like hell, a lot of ppl will buy sony for that game. PPL who liked Forza 2 and didnt have the 360 they ddint even buy it because they didnt want it badly and not enough enthusiasm. GT HD WILL HAVE DAMAGE THOUGH FOR SURE. it wont come out when the game comes out but for sure will have it for a free download and the damage will too advance for any other game in the world.
but doesnt have anything on Forza 2!! Forza has more cars and has damage!! gt plays slow and only has 10 cares!!
LOL YOU SEW FUNNI
