Sierra's Ghostbusters: The Video Game Xbox 360, DS, PC, PS3, Wii - Image 1If you want more information about the latest in video games, who ya gonna call? If you answered QJ.NET, then you'd be correct. However, if you've got a ghost problem, then you'd be better off leaving that to The Ghostbusters.

Fans of the series will be happy to know that the official website for Sierra's upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game (DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) has been updated with new screenshots, a teaser video, and more information about the game.

The storyline of this video game was penned by the original creators of the series, meaning we can expect the characters to retain their trademark mannerisms and catch phrases. In a surprising twist, players will not be playing as any of the four legendary Ghostbusters but as a new recruit joining the team. This means that you'll get to bust some ghosts alongside Egon, Peter, Winston, and Ray. As you might expect, your character will get access to the various gadgets and weapons that the team uses to fights supernatural entities.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game makes this blogger feel like a little kid again. The thought of flying around in the Ecto-2 or using the PKE Meter to find ghosts is definitely a dream come true for those who grew up on the cartoons.

 » Awesome...

I think it's a bit too early to say it looks like Luigi's Mansion, btw I enjoy that game everytime I play it.

This could definetly be the game that really makes us feel like a ghostbuster... canīt wait to see more!

 » Luigi's Mansion?

um, you do know that Ghostbusters came out in the early 80's right? uh, i dunno, practically *TWENTY YEARS before Luigi's Mansion was shot out of Nintendo's loins.

if anything, Luigi's Mansion was inspired by Ghostbusters.

either way, i'm simultaneously excited and trepedatious about this game. if anything, i'll check it out for the story (since the original cast are writing it), and expect a mediocre gaming experience.

an open world, fully explorable (and completely spooked out), New York would be pretty sweet, though.

to see more. Won't pass judgement til more info's released. But I'm very stoked the original cast is writing it... and I think the world is ready to be slimed.
