Peace, Love, and RocketsPeace, love, and rockets. That definitely sounds like the Woodstock of gaming. The best part about it is that we have another eight months or so to prepare for QuakeCon 2007.

The convention's staff just announced the basic details for America's biggest LAN party, which is now on its 12th year. It will be held at Dallas' Hilton Anatole Hotel from August 2-5, 2007, while registration for bringing your own computer to the QuakeCon will begin on March 2.

One of the big things they mentioned in the announcement is that QuakeCon will be even bigger, with more space for everyone to take part in. For one thing, the Bring Your Own Computer area will have 2,700 spots, a thousand more than the 2006 event. The exhibit area will be five times larger as well, so expect even more free games from id Software and other companies to try out, as well as another new talk from John Carmack.  As always, the actual event is free, though you'll still have to pay for your accommodations and travel expenses. Now, if only they had a Dance Dance Revolution area...
