Gamestop - Image 1In the market for a few accessories for your consoles? Well you might want to consider picking up a few from GameStop.

Apparently, the company is running a promo on various peripherals for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. Of course, they also have a few games on sale as well as a trade-in deal for the PS2.

Currently, they're selling Microsoft Xbox 360 controllers and SIXAXIS controllers for US$ 49.99. Those who picked up a Nintendo Wii during the holidays will be able to buy  Wiimotes and the Wi-Fi USB connectors for US$ 39.99 each.

In terms of games, Rainbow Six: Vegas for the PlayStation 3 and Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360 are both going for US$ 39.99. PC Gamers will be able to pick up Madden 08 for US$ 29.99 and SimCity Societies for US$ 39.99.

Finally, if you've got a Playstation 2, you can trade it in for a US$ 50 discount on the PlayStation 3. The offer applies to both the 40 GB and 80 GB versions of the system. Remember though: your system must have all the necessary components and be in full working condition for the full US$ 50 value to be applied to the trade.

For more information on the deals, feel free to follow our source link below which will take you to GameStop's official website.

 » Correction

Hey Enrico, I usually don't correct people but:

"Those who were picked up a Nintendo Wii during the holidays will be able...."

Might want to double check that.

Exactly what is on sale? 49.99 for a sisaxis is not on sale, neither is 39.99 for a wiimote. what is the point in this "news" if the prices for the stuff on sale is not listed?

 » lol at Gamestop "sales"

$50 trade in value for a PS2 system they'll re-sell you for $110.
Xbox 360 controllers and SIXAXIS controllers for US$ 49.99 (full retail price).
Wiimotes and the Wi-Fi USB connectors for US$ 39.99 each (also full retail price).

Rainbow Six: Vegas for the PlayStation 3 and Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360 are both going for US$ 39.99. Is that new or used? You can probably find it new cheaper elsewhere than used at Gamestop.

They were pretty crappy before they bought EB, now they're worse. I only go there when I have a gift card. I just buy and sell my stuff thru eBay now, you get more for used games and get new games cheaper.

If I need something right away and it's not on sale anywhere, I just give my money to Circuit City instead of GameStop.

 » Wow... great sales...

I'm glad to say that I have not bought a single item from a Game Stop or EB Games in over two years. I been going to my local Game Crazy since the first time I bought something there, and about four months ago I got a job there. I'm sorry, but these "sales" are ridiculous. How bout you give the people a real sale like giving them 50% off ANY used game when they buy a controller, or maybe buy 2 get 1 free on ANY used Xbox, PS2, and GBA games. We also recently just had a couple of games going pretty d*** cheap. Call of Duty 2 $10, Darkness $30, Splinter Cell Double Agent $10, GRAW $10, Lego Star Wars 2 $10. Those are sales. Game Stop... humph to h*** with them.
