Galactic Breakout - Image 1

The Underminer dropped us a line just now, informing us that he's released version 1.00 of his Galactic Breakout homebrew game for the PSP.

As he mentions it, the game now has a lot of improvements, including the inclusion of 21 mp3 tracks, 70 levels, 2 new bonuses and blocks, graphic effects, and a core speed of 333mhz, which he says eliminates the crackling sound. He also mentions an extended profiler feature, which we'll leave up to him to explain:

A cool feature that I built in is the extended profiler. When no profile exists (when you first start the game), it will first search the memory stick for existing (demo) profiles and request to copy it. If the users wants to create a new profile the PSP's nickname is used.

We advise you to go ahead and check the readme as well, because it lists the directions for installing the game and using it. You can also visit the Galactic Breakout website linked below for additional information. For now, enjoy the game!

Very Cool - I "spoke" with Underminer yesterday ... and he said the new realease was coming out ... can't wait to download the update and check it out.

So far I have the #1 Ranking Spot!! (from the demo version) Wahoo

Remember people this Homebrew game includes the ability to make your own levels .. why not submit ones you make to the developer for the "next release"

Thanks again Underminer for Keeping Homebrew ALIVE and FUN!!

 » unlock all levels

To stimulate donations (total so far:$0,00), people who donate 3$/3€ or more will be able to unlock all levels. I'm also figuring out how I can make the aprox 10 levels that didn't make it into the game available for these people.

I must admit that I am a little bit disappointed in the community (from the 1000 people that downloaded the demo, I only received 14 levels, of wich 12 from dartan)

Underminer - Got a chance to look at more of the website with the Screen Shots. New levels are looking Good, I like the backgrounds and the "Aliens". Again Nice work. I also hit the Music Section and downloaded a bunch of the "supporting Artist's" songs. Just got to wait 'til I get home to get the GAME!
