Looks like there really is no stopping the baddest boy of them all. The Official PlayStation Magazine UK has published these images and it had us riled up for the newest chapter of videogame crime sprees, Grand Theft Auto IV. Check them out: The game may still have quite some time before it hits the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360, but we can already tell that this one's going to be awesome. The visuals are looking to take next-gen gaming a notch higher. Combine that with the trademark explosive gameplay of the series and you've got a recipe for mayhem. |

Grand Theft Auto 4 is THE GAME OF THE YEAR. No matter what you say, this is the game people are waiting for, this is the game that'll become the game of the year, this game will sell lots lots of xbox 360s and ps3s. So far I'm impressed with Rockstar, looks like they will take this whole "grand theft auto experience" to a whole new level...
I'm hyped.

some of the action videos like the ones they made for san andreas because the fact that they didnt go bigger than san andreas is pulling my excitement away and focusing it on halo 3 because Im seeing so many great videos from that
I hope that rockstar releases a hot gameplay trailer with alot of action soon, so I can be more excited about GTAIV, cause right now halo 3 is taking over the world.

well i see where your coming from but your views are kind of weird. Now dont get me wrong here ive had probably hundreds of hours of fun with the previous gta games it just what is it that there doing in THIS gta that i didnt do in the others? I may be spacing some major features but the only thing different is more variety in pedestrians/cars, better graphics, less load times, and some sort of change in the mission structure. I haven't been able to read this article but i doubt it says anything more then what others already know. Rockstar while at times they can be truly excellent(gta3) and others times they can be very mediocre(porting psp games to a ps2? manhunt-it sold on nothing more then the shock factor). While i do have faith in them i just hope they do something drastic in gta4 otherwise i may just rent/buy it used and return it. In my opinion they should completely re-work the way AI responds to the character. If the game comes out and i can still run a red light, knock a light-pole over, and then peel out on the sidewalk in-front of peds and cops alike with people only getting out of my way(or if you so much as rear end a cop and they attempt to kill you) ill be very unimpressed. Now im not saying it should be super realistic I just think it could have to much more depth if they tone down the absurdness.

I think it will not bring much new like San Andreas did. THis game is anothere GTA 3 with better graphics more ability and a gay ass russian guy. SA had 3 huge islands with military boats planes. YOur house could be a airport. YOu could gamble. What will GTA4 bring to us.

They re did the whole city and made it a realistic new york not that bs liberty city you saw in gta 3 which was not really anything like new york(in someways it resembled but not by much) this will be a completely new city to all and NYC is quite big don think its just gta 3's city and thats all this game has been remapped with great gfx etc lets jsut hope the gameplays good to

Theyre story are all bits and pieces of movies(vice city=scarface SA=so many different bits from early 90s gang movies although gta3 from my memory was pretty original) great voice overs? yea right, so many times in that game the characters will be shooting at someone but there voice doesn't seem like it, etc. Character development...lol really? why is it that CJ/Tommy portray horrible emotion in terms of what they've done previously (such as a person asking you to do something "bad" and the cj/tommy will show restraint regardless of what youve done previously) and none of the characters ever actually go anywhere they are the same person at the end of the game as they are at the beginning, no development at all. I can agree with the open world and that the games have EXCELLENT humor. And don't let a review site/magazine sway you ive read tons of reviews for games that were very high scores that just don't play well and vice versa there is also a large amount of shady dealings that do happen in the game-dev/game-journalist relationships(game company paying for the journalists to get trips and etc). They're actually was a article up here recently that talked a bit bout some of it not that im saying they always lie just that often times reviews are "padded". Still none of that changes that rockstar HASNT shown anything for gta4 that really makes me want to buy it.
