Ever wondered just what happened to Snake between the years of Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid 2? Then you'd better get your mobile phone out, as this hidden chapter is slated to come out strictly for that platform, and not anywhere else. And to give us an in-depth look on what could be a very interesting plot hole filler is none other than Chad Mc'Neill, marketing manager of Konami Digital.

So, just what is this iteration of Metal Gear Solid all about? We're not too sure, but it seems from the interview that this is not just an impulse port or a cheap cash-in. In fact, Chad says that Kojima himself, acclaimed director of the series, had a direct hand with the game's development as well as the storyline.

So if you're hedging on whether to get it, then the fact that it should be canon as far as the Metal Gear Universe is concerned should get you going for that purchase.

Metal Gear Solid Mobile will be available on all high-end mobile handsets from Verizon next week. So get to it, and enjoy the video!
