PSP-3000 - Image 1

Interlacing issues features aside, the PSP-3000 seems to be quite a successful gig over at Japan. During its first four days alone (from October 16 to 19, specifically), the new PSP model has already sold 141,270 units, Enterbrain reports.

Why, that's even more units than combined PS3 and Xbox 360 sales for an entire week! (At least, if based on Media Create's recent figures.)

Combined PSP sales (meaning "PSP" as a whole: PSP Phat, Slim, and Brite) from October 13 to 19 total 155,720 units sold. That's quite a substantial spike from last week's figures, which only clocked the PSP with some 20,000 units sold. From 20k to 155k? If I got my maths right, that's about a 775% sales increase!

I don't get teh sony hate around here. They deliver GREAT systems and awesome games, at VERY fair prices--you get what you pay for. 'nuff said.

i love everything sony makes and quality, i just dont like sony, abit greedy. example, memorystick pro duos for their products.. therefore we dont have a choice but to buy them. good marketing techniques, bad reputations.
