 Xbox 360 - FlatOut - Image 1

Following FlatOut 2, Silverstar Holdings and Empire Interactive have announced that their arcade-style racer FlatOut Ultimate Carnage is heading full speed ahead into the PC gaming scene. This is after their successful release last year on the Microsoft Xbox 360.

The popular notion about racing games in the PC scene is that most of them are stock car oriented. Empire Interactive hopes that FlatOut will dispel that myth by blurring the line between simulation and aggression on the asphalt.

"Research suggests that arcade racers are becoming ever more popular on the PC, with the Xbox 360 controller providing the perfect way to enjoy the genre," said Ian Higgins, CEO of Empire Interactive. "Ultimate Carnage is an entirely new prospect for PC, and we're excited to be bringing FlatOut's unique gameplay experience to PC gamers everywhere."

Let's hope he's right. A lot of PC gamers are looking set for some rough-riding fun, and more variety within the racing genre can only spell more fun.
