Ó

I'm sure some of you have already finished this game, but for our mates down in Austrailia, this news is definitely good to hear. Silent Hill: Homecoming has finally surpassed the hell (*snort* hell indeed) its been through with the OFLC ratings board and has been reclassified for retail release.

The OFLC's prior refusal to give a rating to Konami's survival horror title for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC effectively banned it in the region, but as Atari had hoped, Homecoming eventually got the green light. Australia's rating board now classifies the game under MA15+.

The only hazy part about this is that Atari (the guys publishing the game in Australia) hasn't commented on what they actually did to curb the strict rules of the OFLC. Back in September, they were planning to "tone it down" to get OFLC classification. As of writing, Atari has yet to confirm what (if ever there was in the first place) ended up in the final cut.
