I hope they increase the number of characters on a battle. 5 is a damn small number. When we have Disgaea and his 12 characters per battle, using only 5 on FFT is stupid. I hope they make FFT use 10 characters per battle. :) Otherwise it will be just a port with multiplayer.

Even if they just improved the translation of the original text and dialogue I would buy this game.
The original one's plot was mired by some confusing wordiness and some spell effects were so embarrassingly translated.
'Fire bracelet' was actually ice breath, and 'Ice bracelet' was actually 'Fire breath'.
How they got bracelet = breath is beyond me.

Yes, it's a port, but everyone says it like it's a bad thing. This is a very good port from what's on paper.
Also to be added to the bulleted list, don't forget that this game is in true widescreen without stretching.

This game will look better (hopefully 1:1 resolution for less blurriness), real widescreen, ad-hoc, new classes...
Sure, if you're not a big fan of FFT you wouldn't care. But this game means a lot to me -- not "just another game" -- so I have withheld from converting my PS1 FFT (oh, I want to) so that I can play it fresh.
