While the video gaming scene today has truly taken a turn for the mature, it's not bad to go back to the basics once in a while, where fantasy was key and the production values made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Such is the case with the Wiiware title that Square Enix has slated to be available for download this May, namely Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King. And this is its debut trailer video - in full English.

Looking at the video, it's a bit hard to believe that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King is in itself a downloadable title. The visuals are cute yet sharp and detailed, the music simple yet terrifically emotion-evoking. It just bleeds Final Fantasy, never mind the fact that one can actually download it over the WiiWare channel. Next-gen? Probably not. Square Enix's return to form? Probably.  A killer first step for Wiiware? Very yes.
