Wow you think the UMD was a horrible media, look again. It made programing for programers much easier, and they already had the technology to use it.
Also you have got to be the second biggest fanboy I have seen to date. I don't think I will ever see another fanboy like a person i met last year.
but anyway the nintendo revolution and DS don't seem very interesting to me, maybe its the fact that I never grew up around nintendo, except for the gameboy advance, which I thought sucked.
But ps3 whoot, I can't wait to see if the price gets revealed yet.

Ehhh, Japan, what do you expect lol. The PS3 may be intresting. I wan't to see proof of all the smack they've been talking about how ow mighty there console is going to be over the competion. I really have no intrest in the Nintendo Wii console atm. With the few exceptions of good multiplyaer games on the N64 (Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, etc), I wasn't all that impressed with it. I didn't even purchase a Gamecube until recent. Didn't even play the system, just got it cus Im a collector of consoles, so it had to be put on the shelf as well with my other Nintendo Hardware XD. im much more intrested with there handheld department since there marketing is so much better there. We will see how it turns out though.

I can't help but snicker at 4% interest in 360. Microsoft will have to drop the H3 bomb to pull themselves up.
Sony better try to drop something BIG to pull themselves out of the gutter. Something to show that the delay was worth it and the price is worth it.
Nintendo has to deliver big as well with this controller and have it playable by top gaming interviewers so that they can write about how revolutionary it is. Seeing is believing, but touching is knowing.

they took the poll when it was called revolution... i think they should do it again now it's called wii, this way wii (pun there) will be able to figure out what kind of effect the name change has had.
the trends in japan are wildly different, has anyone tested the rest of the world?

Yeah, Sony will need more exclusive titles to be able to compete. Sony can no longer hold Final Fantasy over everyone's head because Square-Enix is now making games for all consoles. Albeit, Sony might get more exclusive FF titles, it won't be the only one with all the FF games.

Microsoft in my opinion is more about competition than anyone else. There like the new age Sega. Alot of people consider Sony as the evil corp cus they came right into the market buying off a crapload of developers to develope exclusivly for there first console. Even Gampro & EGM had articles saying how much support the system would have right out of the gate & how alot of them were paid off for it. Nintendo & Sega fans were all equally pissed seeing alot of there favorite console games end up on the PS1. Thats when the Sony fanboy era began. Alot which jumped wagon from the Sega & Nintendo camps.
Sony will continue to strong arm as many developers as it possibly can to keep the most exclusive titles it can. With each passing console however, that grip is slowly slipping. When MS came into the picture, they were now against a company that was equally as well funded as there system was. They no longer had that advantage of being able to buy there way to the top. Im a very glad to see SE starting to develope for multiple platforms. Like I said before however, when it comes to home consoles, you can rest assure that Sony will not let there bigger name SE franchises end up on any other console. Xbox 360 can have FFXI in there opinion, its an old & aging MMORPG, thats not gonna hurt them one but. Nintendo can continue to have remakes of older FF games cus thats not hurting there console sales at all. When it comes to a new FF that continues the series, such as FFXIII, you can bet your ass that it will be a Sony exclusive. That is how they operate.
I like how the Xbox 360 is shaping up so far. No, it may not be more powerful than the PS3 or have as much going for it as the upcoming system does, but its solid. Developers love how simple it is to develope on, in turn, will bring plenty of games towards the systems. The Japanese developer support is defitnly looking to be much better this time around. Xbox Live is better than ever & Xbox Live Arcade is damn impressive. A great source for old school gamers with plenty of retro titles coming for it along with simple yet attractive titles you can enjoy. The upcomg gen will be like the Sega Genesis vs SNES all over again. It will be alot tighter than people think cus Sony will not have as much exclusive franchises it once did. MS may not break the Japanese market, but they are doing extremly well everywhere else & there campaigning is indeed paying off. Nintendo may be bringing up the rear again on the console side of things in most of the markets. Im much more intrested in there handheld market however. This will be a great gen for gamers all alike.
