Fallout 3 - Image 1There has been a lot of talk regarding mandatory installation of games on the PlayStation 3. While it's not a major inconvenience for some, it's no secret that other gamers would rather be able to just play the games they pick up the moment they put it into their console.

Well, the guys from Bethesda Softworks feel the same way and have assured the community that Fallout 3 will not have a mandatory installation process. It was noted that they will be handling caching and hard drive use on the PS3 version of the game in the same way as the Xbox 360.

This is good news for some gamers who don't really have that much hard drive space to spare but really want to play the game. After all, what gamer would want to delete some of the valuable data they have on the PlayStation 3?
