Zune 2 in Gold - Image 1

Mp3 players with gold. If that isn't a recipe for an expensive item, then we don't know what is. That being said though, we've just found out that there really are gold-covered Zune units currently in existence, and they're going to be up for grabs very soon.

It seems Microsoft teamed up with Goods to make these special designs for the Zune 2. According to what we've been able to dig up, 10 of these Zune 2 units will be sold next week in Seattle, though there don't seem to be any specific prices for the Zunes.

However, expect this rare Zune 2 to fetch a pretty penny once it's up for sale. As for who'll buy it though... well, it could be you.

 » oh rly?

Why in name of everything pure would someone pay to buy this piece of crap when you can have the exact same functionality as this gives, plus a touch system interface, plus a true wi-fi connection, plus a PHONE, for less price.

Whoever decides to go for the bling bling instead of the iphone is really making an extremely bad decision.

I'm not an apple fanboy, I'm merely stating the facts. If you know of ANY good reason WHY I should buy this gold plated piece of crap instead of a nifty looking touch interface phone with a built in ipod, true wi-fi with web browser and youtube and a mobile music store, please inform me.
