EntroPay card - Image 1Heads up guys. We just found out that the virtual Visa Card issuer Entropay is no longer accepted in Sony's PlayStation Network. Sucks, right? That means that unless you have a US credit card, you can not avail yourself of a copy of Qore, or pretty much anything else.

SgtBeano of the PlayStation Europe forums received the bad news from EntroPay themselves when he attempted to buy a Qore online. Here's what the letter said:

Dear XXXXXXX

We apologise for the inconvenience. Although our cards accepted by a vast majority of online merchants, please note Playstation has changed their payment mechanism and is unable to process payments with prepaid cards. Any pre-authorisations you have should be refunded within 6 working days. Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards

Michelle

So there you go. Go easy on your credit cards, now.

 » Well...

They better move their ass now and get PSN cards available ASAP.....as for lot's of people pre-paid credit cards are the only way to buy stuff off the PSN.....including me.

 » Not very Nice

That isn't very nice of them now is it? Good thing I don't use a prepaid card for any of my stuff on there. I just use the Paypal plugin to generate a one time use credit card number, and enter it. Then whatever I buy is paid for using my Paypal and in turn my bank account instead of an actual credit card. This is quite nice considering I don't have a credit card (don't want or need one yet), but do have a Paypal account.
