night2007poster - Image 1"A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Gaming Edition" looks to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest musical event for gamers this year. "A Night in Fantasia" started in 2003 and has been going on ever since. The Eminence Orchestra which is headed by violinist Hiroaki Yura will be playing music from some of the most prolific games ever released. In previous concerts, they have played songs from Super Mario Brothers, Halo, and even premiered music from Final Fantasy XII.

This year, they are set to deliver pieces from World of Warcraft, "Final Fantasy: Advent Children", and even Katamari Damacy. For those of you lucky enough to have seen some of their previous concerts, Hiroaki has disclosed that 80 to 90 percent of the music they will perform are world premiers.

Music has always been and will always be a part of games. The Eminence Orchestra has proven to be one of the best in the business when it comes to providing the perfect backdrop while playing, so if you're in Australia, then this is a definite must see. The concert will be held in Sydney on the April 20 and 21 at the Sydney Town Hall. It will also be held at Melbourne on the April 27 at Hamer Hall.
