Logo of Electronic Arts, a video game company - Image 1Despite being spurned several times by Take-Two Interactive, the people at Electronic Arts aren't giving up their hopes of absorbing the company behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise into their ranks.

EA recently submitted a second information request from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) about its proposed acquisition of Take-Two. However, the FTC explained that it will still need additional time to review the proposal and hasn't reached any conclusions so far.

The Redwood-based company countered that the proposed transaction with Take-Two would not be anti-competitive. It will inevitably fall on the FTC's shoulders whether this proposal would benefit the industry as a whole or become a whole new deterrent all together.

In any case, make sure to come back to this spot for more updates regarding Electronic Arts' future plans on acquiring Take-Two Interactive, as well as other news in video gaming industry.
