EA logo - Image 1EA has just announced that their debut title for Xbox Live Arcade will be the Bizarre Creations-developed rhythm music game Boom Boom Rocket.

Some of you might remember Bizarre Creations from their previous works like Project Gotham Racing 3 and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved for XBLA. Boom Boom Rocket is set in a 3D cityscape and will basically require players to trigger rockets to the beat of the music. The better your timing, the more spectacular the fireworks effects will look.

Here are some more of Boom Boom Rocket's features that you can look forward to when the game goes live this Spring:

  • Players can play in single player mode or go head-to-head against a friend on the same console.
  • three gameplay modes: Normal, Speed and multiplayer head-to-head.
  • Each song is choreographed into three skill levels.
  • Successfully chain fireworks to fill the bonus meter and activate the psychedelic bonus mode for extra points.
  • Players can unlock new firework designs by mastering each music track. You can also check out the Boom Boom Rocket leaderboard to see how your performance fares with other players.
