All these armor freebies for Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360, PC) are frankly starting to get a bit ridiculous. Pre-order incentives (including one for a totally different game) are already giving away free special armor for Commander Sheppard, and now EA has announced another way for gamers to score some limited edition duds for the good commander.

For an extra ten bucks, you can get the Mass Effect 2 Collectors' Edition, which will include unique in-game weapons and armor. EA didn't give out any other details, but judging by the art the armor is different from the Inferno, Terminus, and Blood Dragon armors. Looks damn cool though. Kinda organic.

The US$ 69.99 Collectors' Edition (US$ 59.99 for PC) also comes with a 48-page hardcover "Art of Mass Effect 2" book, Issue 1 of the Mass Effect Redemption comic book, and a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes and making-of videos. All of that is packed into a premium tin case along with the full game. Pretty good haul for only ten bucks more.

The Mass Effect 2 Collectors' Edition comes out on January 26 in North America and January 29 in Europe. Here's hoping Bioware decides to release all of these armors and weapons as one big DLC down the road.

 » Ah...

In game armor... really doesn't interest me that much... less the armor is uber-awesome armor that has no rival. The other goodies seem like a good deal for $10 more tho :) I may have to get the CE.

That case is way too bad ass for me to not get it. Glad to see it's the regular limited ed pricing of $70 too, unlike all these $80-$100 games they release now
