 Tired of updating your Madden NFL 08 (Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PC, and PS3) rosters? Electronic Arts made a couple of announcements that will probably make you very happy.The first is that Madden NFL 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, and DS will be arriving in North American retail stores by August 12. The second, is that there will be a Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The collector's edition of the game is said to contain full versions of both Madden NFL 09 and the all-new NFL Head Coach 09, exclusive classic Madden NFL gameplay, and plenty of exclusive bonus video content. In case you plan on picking up the Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, you might want to know that it should be going for around US$ 89.99. |

since a new one of these has been pumped out of EA every year for the past 20 years, they must need the collector's edition to get any new buyers. I can't believe it's going to be $90. My only Madden game is Madden 2002 for the PS2, and not that much has changed since then.

to be fair, 07 was quite a big change, but i dont like sports games anyways. now what is the point in having a collectors edition of a sports game? especially seeing as EA will release all of the collectors content as downloads anyways.

I hate these games, but new buyers? Hardly. Madden 07 and 08 were some of the best selling games of 06 and 07, respectively, as Madden is every year. 09 will be no different. Now that more people have PS3s and 360s, it'll probably sell better
