Harmonix and MTV Games has finally brought back The Beatles into the mainstream with The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), the Rock Band game starring the most successful band of all time. Catch George, Ringo, Paul, and John as they make some beautiful music together in their E3 debut.

Beatles: Rock Band will span across the illustrious career of the band, featuring music straight of their albums. Like the Rock Band tracks, this game will have its downloadable tracks come in waves at a time. As it is, Beatles: Rock Band will have 45 tracks on purchase, while Abbey Road will be available for download soon after release.

Here are some of the tracks that you won't need to download:

  • "I Saw Her Standing There"
  • "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
  • "I Feel Fine"
  • "Day Tripper"
  • "Taxman"
  • "I am the Walrus"
  • "Back in the USSR"
  • "Octopus's Garden"
  • "Here Comes the Sun"
  • "Get Back"

Since the announcement came from a Microsoft presscon, they've revealed exclusive DLC for the Xbox 360, but don't close doors on PS3 exclusive DLC just yet. Beatles: Rock Band will be out in stores as standalone or with its special bundle by September 9th, 2009.

 » Exclusive DLC

The money made from Exclusive DLC song that is exclusive to the Xbox 360 will be donated to Doctors without Borders. If Microsoft wasn't truly evil I think they should have let this DLC go to both Xbox 360 and PS3 to allow for more downloads are therefore more money donated to Doctors without borders.

 » So people

don't agree with being able to donate more money for a good cause? Doctors without Borders is an awesome organization and you can learn more about them at www.doctorswithoutborders.org http://doctorswithoutborders.org/aboutus/?ref+main-menu
For the people who know dattebayo, they also donated to them after they received donations for a new server and they had money left over.

A must friggin' buy. Look at the production values on this. Compare this to GH's countless band expansion games..none of them are as great as this. Harmonix does it with style. Now I can see why this is it's own game - and it's songs won't be available as DLC for use in RB1/2.

Looks like they got rid of drum fills to activate star power

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Any "REAL" Beatles fan should get this. It looks awesome!

Thanks for the post qj staff!

 » Yeah

The drum fills are gone so you keep playing the song and not make really loud sound to bother the other people and it's just a green strip you can hit whenever you want instead of having to wait on it.
