Pikmin Nintendo - Image 1

This may be the news that some Nintendo fans may be waiting for. Yes, a new Pikmin game is in development and it's Shigeru Miyamoto himself who admitted the news during a developer roundtable in the recent E3 event, and not some anonymous source. A new Pikmin. What is there not to love about this announcement?

However, Miyamoto did not specify which Nintendo console will get the honor of receiving the continuation of Captain Olimar and the Pikmin's adventures. "We're making Pikmin" is all that he said pertaining to the much-requested sequel to the GameCube original franchise.

We're probably going to get the game for the Nintendo Wii, but the possibility of the upcoming Pikmin sequel being released for the Nintendo handheld isn't far-off, either: case in point, the sequel to Elebits, Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero.

In any case, here's hoping that we can get it as soon as possible. Updates as we get them!
