KOTOR - Image 1The Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic series of video games has taken a significant chunk of my gaming life that I'm never getting back. While some may say it was all a waste, it's funny, because in retrospect, I loved every minute of it.

Electronic Arts is once again going to be taking away yet another chunk of my life as its CEO, John Riccitiello, revealed that they were working on a new KOTOR MMO in an interview during E3 2008.

In a discussion with website portfolio.com, Riccitiello said that they've got "two of the most compelling MMOs in the industry." The first being the highly publicized Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and the second, the previously unnamed game Bioware was working on in partnership with Lucas, is Knights of the Old Republic Online. Too bad he didn't let slip more details about it, but we're sure to hear more of this in the later on.

EA's CEO also took the time to discuss their target markets they hope to expand into such as  China as well as how he expects the video game industry to grow. In case you want to check out the full interview for yourself which discusses all that, feel free to follow our source link below to do so.

I wonder if this is going to be for PC or Consoles or both? This is how they should have approached making a Star Wars MMO and hopefully EA will sink a lot of money and time into this to make the game even better than the previous games.

» Hey yo up there mpcooper, let me shed some facts.

When you said This is how they should have approached making a Star Wars MMO

You meant Star Wars Galaxy cause that was a Star Wars online MMORPG game.

Well if you wanna know something, it was not Obsidians fault for KOTOR 2, the fact is, that Lucasarts rushed them for the Holidays, so that they could grab money.

Because of KOTOR1's success, they believed 2 would be even greater, thus a year later, the 2nd game came out and was rushed because of Lucasarts.

FACT, LUCASARTS IS THE WORST PEOPLE TO HAVE BEHIND DEVELOPERS BACKS, WHEN IT COMES TO VIDEOGAMES, ESPECCIALLY SUCCESSFUL ONES!

EAGAMES is the same way, they don't care about the fans, they want money, all they care about is money.

Look at Godfather for Xbox 360.

EA just is bad.

If they wanna see this game become a successful hit, they would put alot of money into it and let Bioware take there time but I am betting because its EA, they are gonna rush it like every other game they publish.

I would like to have this KOTOR game to have an offline mode aswell instead of being just online only.

It would be great for fans of the original and of course it will probably be on PC, what you don't think a PC is capable of playing a game like this?

They already have KOTOR 1 AND 2!

No this isnt an insult.

EAGAMES would be foolish to rush this game, if they publish it or whatever and why EA of all companies.
